Due to the efforts undertaken and the fruitful cooperation between the two, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) sent Ghirass for Society Development a recommendation letter and a token of appreciation.
UNHCR commended the dedication shown by “Ghirass” teams and for their extensive support and contribution to UNHCR’s operations in the past years.
UNHCR emphasized Ghirass’ effective role in bringing NGOs’ voices to the negotiating table and bearing responsibility for distributing MEDCO cards to marginalized Lebanese families in Bekaa region of Lebanon, which helped in identifying the most vulnerable groups and creating a safe way to reach these families and deliver aid to them.
