In the midst of Lebanon’s severe crisis, which has driven more than half of the population below the poverty line, “Ghirass” for Society Development examined thousands of needy families in Beirut, Bekaa, and Iqlim al-Kharroub and distributed 2530 food packs in the presence of the head of the relief sector, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Misbah. The initiative was funded by the Kuwaiti Zakat House and supervised by the Kuwait Society for Relief.
The food pack consisted of dry foods, vegetables, meat, and chicken, with the aim to alleviate the economic burden of thousands of families that are unable to buy basic foodstuffs.
